Michigan Young Business Innovators! a professional development and career program for Michigan youth, has opened applications for summer 2021. The program provides young adults ages 14 years old to 25 years old with hands-on experiences and exposure to business marketing.

The Michigan Young Business Innovators Summer Career Camp, the six-week Social Media Business Marketing program, provides youth ages 14 years old to 25 years old with hands-on experience in marketing throughout the Metro Detroit, Oakland County, Wayne County, and Macomb County regions.
Michigan Young Business Innovators is a metropolitan summer career program that educates young adults between the ages of 14 years old and 25 years old for 120 hours.

Career Pathways (Experienced-Based Learning)
Provides 14 years old to 25 years old participants with the opportunity to gain real business marketing experience through business community-based learning. The goal is to teach participants business marketing and proper usage of social media.
Learning and Experience
Courses feature 12 hours of synchronous (live) class time, during which students can interact with instructors, chat with classmates, and participate in fun, educational experience activities.
Another 8 hours of instruction is offered asynchronously, during which students will view classes at their own time and pace using an online website learning platform.
Youth ages 17-25 are placed with local businesses to complete experienced-based learning and marketing assignments.

Applicant Requirements
An individual must be 14 to 25 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and registered with Selective Service (if applicable).
All participants must meet W.I.O.A. Federal guidelines.
